Nobody Knows Mad Scott
A documentary crew goes looking for Mad Scott, the Atlanta rapper everybody has a story about, and finds that every story is different and every one of them might be true.
Atlanta. A small documentary crew is trying to find Mad Scott, an underground rapper whose name gets around the city faster than his music. Everyone they interview has met him. A barber says he paid for a cut with unreleased verses. A label executive says he passed on him before he got dangerous. A deacon talks about him like a prophet who fell. A hustler swears he financed the first mixtape but cannot remember the year. Old photos do not match. Songs show up online and vanish by morning. Three different women say the same song is about them. Then the crew gets him in a chair. He is calm, funny and completely ordinary. They ask him who Mad Scott is. He answers, walks out of frame, and another man sits down in the empty chair.
Everybody in Atlanta has met him. Nobody can prove it.
