Jade is texting someone she hasn’t answered in weeks, and she can’t get the last line right. An unknown number calls. She answers the third time he calls. The man says she keeps changing the last sentence and the first one was better. She hasn’t sent it. He says something’s about to fall upstairs, and it does. A car alarm is next, he says, and one goes off. She asks what she’s supposed to do. He won’t tell her. She asks if he knows what she’ll do, and he says yes.
